Atlanta is a small town in northern Hamilton County. He is the youngest and smallest of his triplet siblings Cicero and Arcadia. He is also the northernmost of the three, bordering Tipton County. The triplets cooperate very closely and share resources. All three of them are within the same township, and they’re all part of Hamilton Heights School District. Despite being obscure, Atlanta is known by his neighbors as that bum-looking guy who really likes trains, and is known by everyone else as the New Earth Festival town. He also has the haunted Roads Hotel.
Atlanta began sometime around 1834 as the town of Buena Vista. Buena Vista absorbed its rival settlements Spargerville and Shielville and became known as Atlanta in 1885.
Atlanta was incorporated in 1900.
Atlanta lives in a narrow ground-floor condominium. His first impressions to people make him seem dull and low-energy, possibly even depressed, but he’s actually fairly interesting for a small town. Atlanta’s hobby is making model trains, which fits neatly into his career of operating a train-themed store that sells toys and magazines. He used to own a small restaurant called The Choo Choo Café, which was actually pretty good. This begs the question, why does he act dull? He’s just introverted and fairly reserved. He doesn’t really have friends other than his siblings because he’s not very close to other towns, and he feels content with his social network anyways. Atlanta makes his own fun sticking to his craft. If you approach Atlanta, don’t be afraid to strike up a chat. He really doesn’t mind, and he’ll be happy to tell you about how he really likes trains and how his defunct railroad in the middle of downtown used to have, — can you guess it?… — trains! Aside from trains, Atlanta is also a staunch believer in Jesus. He’s not a weirdo asshole about it like some other towns are, but he does have religious stuff propped up by his abnormally large front window for display. To summarize, Atlanta is chill and humble, and he likes to work on his hobby.
Atlanta’s culture revolves around two things: trains and the New Earth Festival he hosts every autumn. Especially trains though. The only restaurant (which is now closed) and the only toy store are all train-themed.
Despite being a super sleepy town 11 months out of the year, Atlanta hosts the New Earth Festival every September that gathers as many as 100,000 people!!! For reference on how crazy that number is, Atlanta’s population is only 712 (2020). The annual event brings in a shit ton of food trucks with lots of things such as pumpkin rolls, ethnic food, BBQ, even fucking elephant ears (allegedly). The festival also has scores of vendors looking to sell you crafts. It’s said to be a lot of fun.
